The Spirit FM signal is streamed across the globe with a great collection of programs featuring music and information that will entertain and inform the generations of the vaste audience of the world and the local tastes of the Norrth West Coast of Tasmania. The station is a recent development of the community newspaper the Coastal Voice, which has a well established readership from Devonport to Burnie on Tasmania’s NW Coast.
New technology will allow the each way connection of community news between the newspaper and radio to extent and support each media source. An example of these developments will include the recordings of some of the radio interviews will not only be podcasted from the station website but will also be converted to text for inclusion in the newspapers monthly editions and updated to the Coastal Voice’s Website.
The newspaper/radio team is a small group of volunteers that are keen to support the many and varied community events across the NW Coast of Tasmania.
